How to align rigid joint angle

I am coming from Solidworks. I am trying to align the square nut to the holes, such that the bolt hole is concentric, while also ensuring that the flat edges of my two parts are parallel. In Solidworks, I would just constrain the surfaces to be parallel. I tried using the measure tool in the joint menu, but it still leaves the faces at a slight angle when measured. How do I do this in Fusion 360?

Edit Joint, Insert the angle to rotate in the Dialogue Box., Press OK.

When I do what you suggest, I still have a small angle between the faces like 5.322e-6

I used a Revolve Joint but you can edit the joint and change it to Rigid if you like. The method is the same for any surface joint. You have a chance, because of the thread in the nut, of picking a joint origin that is not parallel to the face. If you use the Ctrl key technique I outlined in Screencast, you will definitely be on the flat surface. I broke the link to the one file so I could attach it easily with a different name. You will want to work with yours, mine is just for reference.

Never in a million years would I have guessed you wanted those two surfaces parallel to each other. It is a nut, it turns when applied, it would never be aligned in real life. But since you want it aligned, take a look at the Screencast and the attached model for the solution.

Thank you so much! The reason I want to do this, is because I am going to model a square slot for the square nut to fit into. That way I can tighten with a thumb screw without having to hold the nut as well.
