Bug Report: cannot suppress the first objects in square sketch patterns

The UI direction arrow is over the top of the checkbox, making it impossible to click the checkbox

and the box moves with the arrow, making it also impossible to get the box out from under the arrow.

the same problem happens vertically as horizontally.

I'm on a Mac.

The location where these "symbols" appear is sometimes really frustrating.

However, in general, don't pattern in sketches. Pattern solid features. Patterns (and mirror consraints) can bring the sketch engine to a crawl.

yeah, that's a bug. I was able to get it to work by rotating the view a little. Just enough to disrupt the icon draw order. It's still fiddly, but you can do it.
