Generative Design job status stuck at 5%, solving...

Hi,

I've just started using the Generative Design and am finding the job queue quite difficult.

I have received some outcomes on a couple of studies after about a 10 minute wait. However, these were not what I was looking for so I had to quit the software a couple of times as it wasn't too clear how to cancel a study before it had finished processing all the outcomes.

Now I have just a single study in the Job Status screen but it appears to have stalled - it has been stuck on 5% for 2-3 hours now.

Has it glitched? Is there a way of easily cancelling one job and generating another study without causing these issues?

Thanks for reaching out to us here. Currently, we do not have a workflow to cancel a job. This is something we may consider adding in the future but do not have a concrete timeline on. As for the jobs in queue, we have queue limits in place for jobs solving in parallel to prevent any single user from abusing the system and impacting the experience of other users. The jobs sitting at 5% for an extended period were likely jobs that were sitting in queue, waiting for your other studies to finish. Did you have an issue with your jobs finishing or did it just take a while for them to start?

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. The problem has since resolved itself when I came back the next day. Qeueing up a few jobs does seem to confuse it though and it would definitely be helpful to have a cancel button for studies that look like they're unlikely to yield good outcomes.
