When I try to export a file in DXF I click on File - Export and get a list of options. However DXF is greyed out. Please let me know how I can export as a DXF file. Thank you.

The Export to DXF is not available if you are using a Fusion 360 Personal License. Normally though, you would select the model sketch you desire to create and DXF and right click to select the function. You can also create a 2D drawing and use the Output Sheet to DXF there.

This is so disgusting to me. For us on limited or fixed incomes not to have this option back. I used to make some simple designs and have them CNC cut at a local maker space. Now I can't do that anymore because I can't send them a DXF file like I did in the past. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Using a Fusion 360 Personal License, you can go into your model sketch and export as a DXF anytime you like. I you have a model, but not a complete sketch, then create a new sketch and project the model into in and Save as DXF from it.

It was never this difficult. My sketch has a lot of construction lines and temporary lines that don't make it into the extruded body. The sketch itself is worthless outside of Fusion.

However, not being a professional and only using Fusion from time-to-time, I did not know about projecting a model into a sketch. I never had to do that before. I used to be able to just export to DXF from the menu. Now it is gone.

So I was complaining about something that I used to have that is now gone. But I didn't know it was that easy to create a sketch from a model and then export THAT sketch. Thanks you for that information.
