Fusion 360/ 2008 Macbook pro/ Big Sur update

I just received the unfortunate news that my 2008 macbook pro will not take the Big Sur update. I need this update to run the current version of Fusion 360.

My current OS is El Capitan. Does anybody have a suggestion for an older version of 360? I just dropped $2K for equipment for a possible career in 3D printing and I'm still in school, so things are tight at he moment.

Fusion 360 currently supports:

Big Sur – OSX 11

Catalina – OSX 10.15

Mojave – OSC 10.14

High Sierra – OSX 10.13 (Support for this OSX will stop in April,2021)

From your statement it looks like you cannot move to big sur but can you move to Catalina 10.15? If you can that would still get you a supported Fusion 360.
