Sketch suddenly using entirely different Origin. Why? How to Correct?

So I've got many hours into a project and of course with the final few tweaks I've run into an issue. I need to create one last sketch to finalize this design and suddenly the sketch is creating incorrectly.

Namely I'm working on this body, looking straight on at the area I want to draw a sketch on.

Then I Right-Click on that face (the largest lighter shaded one), Click "Create Sketch" and it does, however the sketch doesn't align to any of the existing Origins. It's on an angle completely divorced from the part and other sketches.

This leaves me drawing on a part with a grid that doesn't align with it at all. You can see in the screengrabs that I have over 40 sketches on this design. This is the ONLY one to do this, and of course its the last one I need to do. Am I doing something wrong? I cannot see any reason why this is happening nor how to correct it. I COULD design what I need to in this orientation but it will be more difficult, and I'd rather figure out the problem so if/when I run into it again I can correct it immediately.

Any help? Greatly appreciated. I'm rather new to Fusion and learning as I go.

Are you fully defining each and every sketch as you go?

Do you have Capture Design History turned on?

Turned off 3D Sketch, finished the sketch. Deleted that useless sketch. Created a new sketch, same exact situation.

I do not have all of my sketches fully defined I believe. I don't fully know what that means other than the ones with Padlocks ARE fully defined. Again, self taught n00b here.

Design history is not on. I'm working with a few models I loaded in that couldn't be converted to regular bodies with design history on.

Turn on history immediately after converting.

Fully define each and every sketch as you go.

I recommend that you start over to gain experience.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I've found the few times I've had design history on, its a detriment. I realize I have to edit a part I did an hour ago, try to and it throws off the entire project.

Are you saying that this is what is causing this ONE sketch out of over 40 to be on in an entirely different orientation? This is 2 days worth of design work, and I've already printed the parts from this design (over 20 hours of printing total). I just decided I wanted to iterate on one of them and decide if I like the new version after it is finished and printed.

I understand what you mean, that WILL help me learn, it just isn't feasible nor actually helpful advice for the problem I'm having right now.

I've found that those not using history experience great difficulties.

I cannot say anything more concrete or constructive as I have not seen the *.f3d file.

Here is the .f3d export of the current project. Again this has done everything I needed with little issue until the very last thing I'm trying to do.

I suspect that if you Attach your file here - one of the experts here will recreate it entirely from scratch and repost in less than 2 hrs time.

As usual, when I start measuring the geometry of unconstrained sketches and no history - the dimensions do not make logical sense...

In any case - you can always use the BORN Technique...
