I created a video & for some reason the sound stopped working at the end. Sorry. I built a 4' x 8' sheet of 1/2 by 13 expanded metal. There are flaws but the file is so slow I can't work on it. Don't know if it's my system or Fusion. As far as lines go the file is huge but as far as bytes go at around 180 meg not large but the file manager says this file running on Fusion uses nearly 8 gig of memory. I have 12. Any suggestions on how I might speed this up? The file is to large to attach here.

I tried many times to attach a video with no success. Here is the link:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/638c0226-6fca-457d-8f41-4f0536637252

Hi,

Your screencast gives only a few concrete clues and hardly allows any conclusions.
1. I can only see a multitude (too many!?) of geometries, but not how they were created.
2. did you work with patterns (1) or with copies?
3. if 1 > did you create the patterns in sketch or solid mode (2)?
4. if 2 > what options were used and how big is the set?

5. if you create a file with (significantly) fewer elements using the same pattern and share it here, there might be some clues.

günther

I can't accept it as as solution but I get it. I made copies (Bad) I will attempt to recreate the file using patterns & maybe text time it will be small enough to include or the problem will resolve & this is the solution.

Thank you so much. I sort of kept experimenting beyond that so the file is gone but I have come to the conclusion that I am expecting to much from Fusion 360 in terms of calculating angles and surfaces because I create a 96" x 48" surface and filled it with 6 sided holes using a pattern hole in order to simulate expanded metal & glitched the software so I plan to extrude a flat surface and handle expanded metal with a note.
