I can't share the dataset due to company policy, but I have found a semblance of a solution. The mesh solves fine and in a reasonable amount of time when I remove all fillets using the Simplify workspace. There are a lot of fillets because the angle iron is modelled using them.

Meshing stops progressing at 82% every time (80% in another assembly). No error comes up to suggest what is the cause of error. I've successfully gotten a mesh for individual parts, but not for this assembly. I've removed any interference and the pre-check is fine. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?

Hi @julianne_jager,

One thing you can try is checking for geometry errors in the model that could be tripping up the mesher. This can be done using the Inspect > Validate command in the Design workspace. The Validate command is available in direct modeling mode only (i.e. click 'Do not capture Design History' if the Timeline is displaying)

We'd like to investigate why there are no errors returned for the mesh. Could you attach the dataset?

File > Export.. > f3d (or f3z) file type

Thank you,

The validate command came up with no issues for the entire assembly. I'll see if I can get you the file. I'm also updating Fusion now, in case that's part of the problem.

Thanks,
