      <description>&lt;P&gt;I created a model this morning, 03/17/2021, using Fusion 360. I 3d printed that model. I return to my computer 2 hours later and windows 10 has updated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Fusion 360 will not load / run. I have attempted to run Fusion 360 as Administrator and still nothing.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In Task Manager there is a process for Fusion360.exe and FusionLauncher.exe&amp;nbsp; status of both show as Running.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any help is greatly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have run the uninstall tool, I have manually deleted all the folders in the manual process.&amp;nbsp; I have run other cleaners. I have cleaned the registry.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I uninstalled the microsoft update that is available to uninstall.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Reinstall fusion 360, task manager shows fusionlauncher.exe running...and still nothing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For the love all things, what a dumb show from microsoft&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Forgot to add 123d design runs without issue...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can report a similar case.&lt;BR /&gt;After Fusion failed to start several times, I used Clean Uninstall (automatic).&lt;BR /&gt;The uninstall process took about 20 minutes (previously about Max 5min).&lt;BR /&gt;After the installation, however, Fusion could not be started in any mode. There was also a reference to another active instance, which definitely did not exist. After another uninstall (automatic+manual) Fusion could be started 2 times. After that, F refused its services again, as at the beginning.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;günther&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;ROOT CAUSE&lt;/EM&gt;: a common thread connecting the data behind these reports is that&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;Fusion 360 startup is stalled by a newly installed module slow to respond to resolving special characters in user's OS usernames or within the installation path of this module.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;EM&gt;HOTFIX&lt;/EM&gt;: A&lt;/SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;remedy is promptly underway; we will be releasing a hotfix this Monday afternoon or earlier, eastern time. Please watch out for its publication, and update your installation. Thank you for your patience, once again.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;WORKAROUND&lt;/EM&gt;: Should you plan on designing during the weekend, if you absolutely need to overcome this slow startup before Monday's hotfix arrival, a temporary workaround was validated with few users already reporting positive results. With that, I offer you my services to help you resolve this promptly. Please try this workaround first and let me of outcome:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Launch Fusion 360 and let it load completely (which might take several minutes)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Then, close and relaunch Fusion 360, at which point the issue should be addressed.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;In the event steps 1 &amp;amp; 2 do not address the issue, kindly send me a private message with your Autodesk ID email and the Team you are using. Once I confirm your status on our end, we can retry the very same steps and it will work.&lt;/LI&gt;

Otherwise, IT, admins, and end-users are strained with unnecessary, sometimes drastic actions to recover from an incident that should never be. If the community sees such experiences across our solution upgrades, please lets start a new thread and collect the feedback together, so we may tackle this matter holistically and involve the right teams.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp; Although not an installation limitation necessarily, you make a good point to preventatively note it as installer’s known issue. I’ll share this feedback internally as the fix is expected tomorrow, and make a call for future. Nonetheless,&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"&gt;given&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;the tool starts up within minutes, validated a workaround,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;the immediacy of a hotfix, and our strong mission for a globalized product, I recommend against reinstalling OS with user account ‘cleaned’ from special unicode characters - to me, this seems excessive, considering. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"&gt;Instead, as suggested before, kindly reach me via private message to help in case the quick workaround does not resolve your slow app starting situation.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

I too have non-standard ascii characters in my name, yet dont recall the last time to have used them with critical system/product deployments; very likely induced by perpetuated inconsistency across many tools I use on daily basis over the years, feeling deeper responsibility to make this right the first time! As we deepen our interop with technology, in the event you are standing up a new machine, reinstalling an OS, or standing up a broad solution for your company, I would agree with Günther’s note that one might want to pause and consider neutralizing&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;special unicode characters from&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;system names and account usernames substituting with their relative ascii approximations, if any e.g., ü to u, or ш/š to s/sh, etc. Again, this isn’t an endorsement to do so, nor I claim there is plausible substitution path (most definitely not for non-latin, double-byte locales such as chinese and japanese). Rather, use your past experience to make your&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;professional&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;lives easier, if offered the IT discretion to make those choices for everyday tools :).       <description>&lt;P&gt;Just started using Fusion 360 this week.&amp;nbsp; I'm not sure if it is an Autodesk problem, a W10 problem, or both.&amp;nbsp; Microsoft rolled out a big W10 update this week.&amp;nbsp; The two dont seem to get along.&amp;nbsp; Naturally, neither seems to be working on the problem.&amp;nbsp; I've locked up and re-booted at least 20 times.&amp;nbsp; I uninstalled and clean installed Fusion twice.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm having the same problems.&amp;nbsp; I uninstalled, clean reinstalled, run as Administrator, etc.&amp;nbsp; No improvement.&amp;nbsp; Still freezes every time I use it.&amp;nbsp; If I lucky, I can get in 10 minutes before it freezes and locks up my computer.&amp;nbsp; WTF, is this an amateur program written in someone's basement?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone have any ideas that work?&amp;nbsp; Very **** frustrating.&amp;nbsp; I had heard good things about Fusion&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Love wasting hours and hours with defective software.&amp;nbsp; For the time I've wasted on fiddling with Windows, I could have acquired a Masters degree&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
