Cannot Sweep a custom thread ?

Hello, I am attaching a fusion file : I am trying to sweep a custom thread but I am getting an error : stating "Self Intersection Body" , I checked the Coil Sketch is projected using a Body created from Coil Command with 10mm Pitch , my thread profile which is a buttress thread also has the same pitch. Let me know I have attached the fusion file.

Any advice would be appreciated.💮

Skin the cat another way,

one revolution, then Pattern & Combine.

you specified distance as 0.1 ? , what is that ? , does it means 10% of the total coil length ?

Coil length of 1, fails with self intersecting,

coil length of 1 revolution, (0.1) doesn’t fail.

Yes, Fusion CAM can make this, but I don’t think the model is finished, with sharp faces top and bottom,

In the real world probably not. Will need clever work holding or fixture, but I am not using CAM much.

Thanks for helping me out, with your solution I have been able to model this correctly for now. By Fusion Manufacture I mean to use Fusion Turning. I wish to know if this would be possible in Fusion CAM Turning Module ? To Turn this custom threads

Fusion Turning > Threading can machine pretty much any constant pitch thread there is, whether it's straight threads or pipe (taper), since it's just diameters and advancement per revolution. What Fusion can't do: variable pitch threads.

If you're just looking at applying toolpaths, just model the major diameter and call it good. Fusion CAM inherits nothing for information from a modeled thread.

So can I generate a Toolpath ? That will create this Thread Form ? , With a Different small Shape Insert like grooving or parting insert ? Will Fusion Take care of Advancements i.e Stepover.

No, not easily. It's been done, but you have to have an advanced grasp of the software and how you can abuse it to bend it to your will
