How about drilling a hole at the corner intersection and let the contour cut run into it. You said you did not mind cutting into surrounding material.

I want to cut this corner square even if it goes into the surrounding material.

My part needs to fit into the cutout but since I only have 1/8th inch bits this is the best I get.

I want to avoid modifying the design just to make it make a bigger hole. Any magic way to do this common task.

Best

SM

Ya adding a drill hole to the corner is exactly what I have seen done but do I have to do this in "design" or "manufacturing"? Just does not seem good to change the design because I don't have a smaller bit "yet".

Ok still learning. This is called a Dog Bone. Still looking for an easy button but it sounds more and more like one has to do this in the design manually.

Best

SM

There is a "dogbone" add-in that will do this somewhat automatically. There is also the Manufacturing Model option in the MFG space, allowing you to modify the model without actually modifying the model....
