Have issues with CNC. Setting the Z axis to Zero

I am hoping someone can please help me with my first project. (See Photo)

It is a dust boot designed in Fusion 360.

The CNC machine is Homing fine and I can jog the router without issue to X,Y and Z.

There seems to be error messages that relate to the Z axis in the G code sender.

Z at zero starts at the bottom of my stock.

The image is my stock under the work plane (See Photo). Then, I got the stock above the work plane (no photo) and Zero stayed fixed at the bottom( on the work plane) and will not go to top of the stock, only under the work plane.

My stock is 25mm in height.

Does anyone know what setting in setup can control Z axis and it's relation to Zero in G code?

Just click on your setup and edit to choose the WCS you want - top, middle, or bottom - unless I'm misunderstanding your question.

Not sure what the acronym WCS stands for, but I will seek it out.

Work Coordinate System - where your XY origin is set (or whatever axes you're using for your origin).

I am now familiar with that area.
So my game plan is to do a really simple design to try it from scratch.
