Fusion crashing if I try to upload any mesh

Hello,

I can't use Fusion 360 anymore as if I open it and try to upload any kind of file or mesh (even simple ones) Fusion crashes without any error report. At times it crashes even if I am sketching something. I unistalled it and even used the cleaning tool buth nothing changes. My pc is good enough for Fusion as a fact I used to use it anytime whit no problem.

The Version I have is: 2.0.10032

Can you help me? Thanks

Hi @pasqualefusco.pf ,

When you say 'Upload Mesh' are you referring to 'Insert Mesh'?

If it's crashing in Insert Mesh.
Check if you have Chitu installed or if you have installed a preview tool that creates thumbnails for STLs.

Yes I meant "Insert mesh", yes I do have chitubox installed and probably I get what do you mean by "thumbnails", but what do I have to do? I have both programs for a while now but I did never experienced such situations. Moreover I have the same problem also with .obj files and not just .stl that have the thumbnail (preview I guess) you said

Sorry, my intention was to confirm if the issue was related to 'Insert Mesh'

As there are other ways to bring mesh inside fusion 360.

There was another thread with same issue.

As of now, The possible solution is to uninstall Chitu.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but we are experiencing this same issue. Installing Chitu broke out insert mesh function within fusion360. Uninstalling Chitu is a non-option as it's essential to our workflow. Have you found a resolution to this issue aside from simply telling us to uninstall all our essential programs on our machines in order to allow fusion to operate...?

This bug is in our list to fix. I cannot say for certain when it will be fixed.
Its been tracked internally FUS-81128.

I am having this same issue. I can't uninstall Chitubox.

Weirdly, I was able to insert a mesh into a design last night with no issues. Today, it crashes.

A solution that does not require uninstalling chitubox. You rename or move one .dll file in the chitubox directory. The thumbnail previews interfere with fusion. Thumbnail previews will no long be generated by chitubox when using this solution, but you can have both programs installed at the same time.
