I have created this model of a forkless bicycle. I have made the joints and relative motions work-except for making the top of the pedals always stay parallel with the "ground". On their own the pedals can rotate around the pedal shaft. I'm having difficulty with the joint needed to make this work. I'm not sure what joint or contact set to use for this. I have attached the link to my project. I hope to build this in the school workshop one day.

https://a360.co/2PxH7s8

You need to use a Motion Link, see attached example file I made for someone else a while ago.

I am looking at your model. Right now, the crank does not rotate - it seems locked. As soon as I can get it unlocked, I'll try to show the motion link that @HughesTooling suggested on your model.

Really cool model, by the way. What an interesting concept.

Thanks. I have tried to follow the example above, but nothing changes. I have made a few edits.

here is an updated link: https://a360.co/2PxH7s8

You have the motion link using the wrong joint. Your assembly of parts seems pretty chaotic, not very logical to me but I sort of figured it out eventually.

I deleted some of the capture positions because they're not really needed after applying the joints and it made setting up a bit easier. Screencast shows how to fix, you'd used a joint that was rotating with the crank, think some of the joints should have been rigid joints where parts rotate as an assembly.

Thanks so much for your help. I'm transitioning from SolidWorks, and learning the Joint System instead of SolidWorks mate system which was what I am used to. I mated the parts as if they were all subassemblies onto the main model
