    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Group&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;has fusion got the capability to do load tests and flex tests with stainless steel tensioning wires as small as 1mm in diameter?&lt;BR /&gt;i want to start using wires in some designs to stiffen them up but i would like to be semi sure it will work before i start to manufacture the items...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi &lt;a href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/499453"&gt;@safiredesignengineers&lt;/a&gt;,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My quick answer would have to be No, as to Fusion Sim being able to handle thin wires with our solid tetrahedral elements, they're not well suited for very large aspect ratio geometry (wires, or thin plates).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There are a few workarounds that might work for you:&lt;BR /&gt;1. Instead of wires, use two force loads to represent the tension at the mounting points instead. Since the line of action of the 'two-force member' is along wire, you can use the wire as a reference direction while defining the force, via the Angle direction option (then suppress the wire bodies). Of course, this can't simulate if the wires lose tension.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Use a Rigid Body connector in place of the wire. However, these cannot have a pre-tension included as part of the idealization definition&lt;BR /&gt;3. Just brain storming, but perhaps you can use a bolt connector that does support a pre-tension load in place of a wire&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
