How to hang an object from a point

I have a steel casting that is an odd shape and requires painting. Is there a way to see how a part will hang from a point (simulating a hook) so I can determine if it will hang and how much space it will take up when hanging from the point?

Here is the part. I colored a surface red showing where I want to hang the part from.

Use info function to locate center of gravity. Draw a construction line from that point to to point you want to hang from then constrain the line vertical.
