hidden detail

Hi,

Is there a way to not see the detail below my deck plate. The view on the left is taken from a distance. The view on the right is zoomed in. I have even tried putting a plane 5mm above the hollow section, but still the same. the deck plate is 6mm thick. its frustrating when I take screen shots and you can see under the plates

it's hard to say without more information. What is the material of the deck, does it have translucency applied? What about component or body opacity, is it set to less than 100%? Or, it could be a graphics driver issue on your machine. Can you share the model, so someone here can see if we can reproduce this issue?

It is hard to tell without your model but in a guess, do you have your Visual Style set to Shaded with Hidden Edges selected? In the screen capture below, I have that set and you can see the beams below the deck. If you select the one marked in Red, they disappear.

Hi,

The effect depends on the zoom factor but not on the material or its opacity.

Hi Andy,

It can also be seen that the effect becomes stronger when the line of sight deviates from the vertical.

But every error can be corrected once its cause has been identified.

I can reproduce this. Will need to send it to the graphics team to figure out what is going on. There is clearly a separation between the frame and the top plate:

which should prevent this kind of bleed-through...
