As a user that loves Fusion 360 but only uses it as a hobby right now, it is very hard to justify $495/year.

Personally I am fine with the Hobby limitations except one, I miss the Simulation functionality.

I can justify $100 to $200 per year for my hobby and would purchase a slightly less limited version of Fusion 360 if available.

Once in a while I design a structural part and would like to do a simple static stress analysis. Now I have to export the component and load into FreeCad to do all FEA.

I would suggest a lower price option for Fusion 360 that includes a few less limitations for the more serious hobbyist.

OR

You could just enable Simulation but only allow Cloud Credits to use any simulation, even the simple static stress. A serious hobbyist could justify buying some Cloud Credits each year. This would only be a version change and should not affect your accounting/sales department or any other internal department I would think.

Just a suggestion.

Thank you for allowing hobbyists to use Fusion 360 it is very much appreciated.
