Unable to delete file that doesn't appear to be used elsewhere

Hello,

I want to delete an old file that is no longer required (and indeed risks confusion if left as is).

When I do this I get the following error

"A version of this document has been referenced by drawings, other designs, or manufacturing files and cannot be deleted"

However when I interrogate the file in question in the web browser I see nothing under "used in" or "drawings".

So my questions are:

- How can I find out wher Fusion thinks this file is still in use?

- Given it has already been removed from the higher level assembly, how can I break any links that may still exist to be able to delete these files?

Take a look at this blog article and video, it is a workaround but it will do the job.

Oh that's pretty horrid isn't it.

Why does everything have to be a work around!

Having tried this now - I've realised I can't move files from one project to another. I don't even get the option when I right click and select move as per your video.

If the Projects are in the same Fusion Team, you can move files between them. Look closer at the move dialog box. If you still do not see the possibility post a Screencast of the process, I will take a look.

Hmm I don't understand this.

The files in question are in "Project B".

The move dialogue here only gives me other folders in Project B.

However if I go into "Project A" which I believe is in the same team, the move dialogue here lets me move things into Project B.

Any idea why I can't do vice versa?

I have no explanation for what you describe. If you can see Project A from Project B, then they are in the same team. Sorry for your issue, I wish I knew what to tell you.
