Construction plane move tool missing

I have offset the cons. pl and selected it to move but no move tool??

The Move tool does not accept faces as an entity you can move. Go back to the original definition of the plane and right click on it to edit the offset

Here is a Screencast of the process of editing the position of an offset construction plane. Please remember, a construction plane covers a vast area, not just the area you see in the plane. If you would like, left click and drag on any corner of the construction plane to size it.

Edit: You can use the Move tool on a construction plane if you turn off Capture Design History but you DO NOT want to do that!

General Move for construction planes is not supported in a parametric design, only in a Direct Modeling design. There is no technical limitation, just has not been supported yet.

what I need to do in the screen shot is join all the dots so I can loft
this, it is a half aircraft windscreen, in oder to do this I need a CP
prrecisely at the end of the spline perp. to it. and then a curve around a
wing eventually connecting the bottom spline. So I need a CP everywhere I
to start a new sketch, am I correct.

I am just guessing because I do not have your model, and I cannot read your mind but I do not think you are looking for a construction plane. If all your sketch points are on one plane then yes, a construction plane is what you want. There are many ways to create a construction plane, if you select the drop-down menu you will see them. I am seriously thinking you are headed into the 3D Sketching world, where all points are not on the same plane, and for a beginner, that is a hard road to go. You should share your model, define what you are "exactly" trying to do and the forum users can probably help you. I would caution you that trying to use Fusion 360 without knowing the basics can lead to frustration. Why not pick a simpler prismatic project? If you want to move forward on this design, please attach the model.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

Yes and No,

When you use the origin planes, you don't need to move the construction plane.

Take note that the splines are connected to projected End Points.

Use Project > Project those points into the current sketch, or it will not work.

3 sketches, on the 3 origin planes. One loft.

You mention a wing, that can be developed separately and used to later cut the windscreen making life simpler all round.

So I got so far to patch the lines together and ignored the wing as you say
all must do now is panel beat the right corner into a round surface as this
is flat now I dont think you can see it.

Sorry did I not include a screen shot, yes this is in 3D and yes very
frustrating and got the bumps on my head to prove it. I eventually got to
this point but the top right corner needs to be panel beated into a round
surface as it is flat I dont think you can see it in the attached
screenshot.

Couple of choices, design dependent,

You can take the Plane up to any height, specify in the dialogue.

You can then split the body with the plane and take the new curve it makes,

Or sketch on the plane a new rail for the Loft.

No file or pics, means we are best guessing.

Using the Forum page, select the camera,

navigate to the picture file, and when the Done icon becomes active

hit done.

I don't think it works like this with reply to email messgaes.

Ok as in my diagram I drew a spline using the Right view construct.P, finish sketch. Now to draw a line from the top of the spline 90 deg. to the spline I have to use the front or plan view CP but it must intersect the the top of the spline and I must project this onto the CP. I tried drawing a box to cover the whole thing and use the faces of the box to draw on projecting each point as I went along, but then I couldn't get rid of the box. I attached another screen shot.

Sure a box works for security, use eyeballs to hide it, not use Delete for anything.

Yep, first sketch is fine. Next in sketch 2

Step 1. Project > Intersect select the first curve drawn. You will get a red dot preview and a purple dot when confirmed.

Step 2, Draw 2 point Fit Point Spline with one point snapped to purple point. Set Handles for spline curve to match plan or canvass. Finish Sketch.

Sketch 3 (Floor) Step 1 Project > Intersect and select both drawn curves, red preview Purple confirmed. Draw 2 point spline snap to purple points.

If the planes are not showing a red dot preview then the plane and the sketch curves are not overlapping and falling short, extend the curves.

Your screen pic shows lots of yellow icons, when they occur Press Undo, and figure out why / what to do to avoid that. Hide stuff with eyeball controls until you get some experience.

Thanks to you all for your input I eventually nailed it, a lot swearing and cursing and throwing furniture around. I did it.
