Just to clarify, make sure you create a setup before any machining ops and select where you want the origin.

I am brand new to fusion 360. I just learned how to insert a DXF file onto the xy plane for a cnc plasma machine. The size of the DXF file is 20" x 20" but sits on the X plane at starting at approximately 14" and goes to the 34" line. Does this matter when you are in create mode? Or do I need to somehow pick it up and move it to 0 so that It is lined up with it's exact measurements on the grid so that its within the parameters that the CNC machine can handle? Or will it measure correctly when you are entering the info into fireControl? The max size capability of the CNC plasma machine is 25" x 23". Hopefully this question makes sense. Basically its not sitting center on the xy plane.

If all you're doing is importing then going to Manufacturing to create toolpaths it doesn't really matter as you can place the setup origin to wherever you want it.
