Issue Extruding onto Faces

I have an object with 3 faces that I don't know how to combine and I need to extrude the SVG into the object. I included a screenshot of the objects faces and the svg extrusion error.

the error message is pretty clear. The profile you have selected is larger than the "from" face you have selected. The "from" face must fully enclose the profile:

So, you must select a "from" face that is larger than the profile.

I understand that much. I'm asking how I can solve this, because I need to extrude that SVG into that body. How can I merge these faces or is there a work around that I can use to achieve my goal?

the "from object" option is missing a few options that the "to object" option has - the ability to extend the selected face, and the ability to select an entire body as the object. So, as a result, one way to do this is to use "to object" to an offset surface body which is offset to the depth that you need.
