I have the same problem, i work a lot with 3d scan and since the mesh update its a nightmare. Cursor being clunky when it goes over a mesh (atleast if it has the "snap on mesh" capability like we ask since years i could understand, but that's not the case). Moving meshes is a nightmare. It became very tedious to work like that.

Is it a known problem, and do developpers work on a fix ?

Hello,

I've used fusion 360 a lot the past few years for making parts off of partial scans of cars. These scans tend to be pretty large (~millions of triangles) however Ive never had a problem with fusion unable to handle these meshes apart from some occasional crashes trying to move a mesh for alignment. However the most recent mesh update has basically rendered fusion useless for this purpose for a multitude of issues.

1) Performance: It seems like everything takes twice as long to load now and I get what seems like 10x as many hangups when a mesh is visible. In particular, it is almost impossible to draw a sketch near a mesh as bringing the cursor around the mesh tends to cause fusion to hang up/freeze.

2) Rendering: my previous workflow would typically be to utilize construction planes to align sharp features of a scan that share symmetry. However now when ever you have a mesh highlighted/selected, they render differently causing the mesh to be pushed to the foreground and I can no longer see the plane (see images). This has completely broken workflow.

Would love some help from the devs, I really like this software because fusion used to be able to handle scans way better than any other CAD software but the latest update has 100% ruined my workflow. I honestly really want to revert to the older version but it seems like thats not possible.

Thanks

Manage to find some fixes:

1) reducing mesh to ~100k faces made performance suitable again

2) I had 'limit graphics' on under graphics diagnostics, unchecking this fixed my issue

hopes this helps someone!
