Hi @Anonymous

Just an update on Flattened DXF & Simplified DWG exports from the drawings environment. With the July release of Fusion, DXF & Simplified DWG are now flat.

As part of the July "Quality of Life" update, we improved the DXF/DWG export. Furthermore, we included font controls for Attributes in the title blocks. We also made a change that stops accidental dragging of borders and title blocks.
I'd love to hear from you directly, and to get your thoughts on these improvements.

Hi @Anonymous

Sending DXF data via a 2D drawing might not be the best workflow, have you considered exporting one of the model sketches directly to DXF?

If you must use the 2D drawing route, there are several things that you need to be aware of;

The scale of your DXF files is going to match the drawing scale. If your view scale on the drawing is 1:10, the exported DXF will be 10x smaller, or 0.1. If you would like your DXF to be 1:1 you will need to place views at a scale of 1:1. I suggest that you delete the drawing border and do not worry if the views are larger than the sheet, as they will export to DXF at the correct size.

You may need to flatten the exported DXF so that it can be consumed downstream, this is done more easily with AutoCAD, but there is a Fusion only workflow, see below:

Fusion 360 only option: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/flaten-lines-of-a-exported-2d-model/m-p/10273282/highlight/true#M121105

With AutoCAD option:https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/fusion-drawings-to-flat-dwg/m-p/10233593/highlight/true#M245803
