The CAD I created this specific model in was Tinkercad (yeah I know, but this was the best free CAD that was available to me at the time). The available file formats for export are STL, OBJ, and GLB. I exported this model in an STL format. If you see the model, yes I know it's messy and the pieces aren't that well lined up, but please keep in mind that Tinkercad is very limited.

Hello, I'm relatively new to Fusion 360. I've tried importing models I made in other CADs to Fusion 360 so I can work on them there, but when I import them they become meshes. I've tried the convert option under the scroll-down modification menu for solids, and the convert to mesh in the scroll-down modification menu for meshes. However, when I try converting in the solids scroll down menu it won't let me confirm the action, and when I try the convert to mesh option and change it to convert from T-spline to solid, Fusion 360 just crashes. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Some functions in working with Meshes are dependent on your Fusion 360 License type. So please indicate your license type and attach your mesh file so the Forum users can help you out. If you do not know your license type, your can use the "?" in the upper right hand corner and choose "About".

Yes, a Personal Fusion 360 license does not have access to various functions and commands. One of these is the ability to Convert Mesh to a Prismatic form. You model is pretty poor and does not translate to a very useable solid body. What it did create is attached via my Dropbox account since the resulting file is to large to attach to a Forum post. I tried to Combine the numerous solid bodies into one but many remain. You can drag the timeline marker in front of the Combine command to see them if desired. Prepare to be patient!

What are the other programs you've made models with? What export options do they have, mesh formats are the worst format for Fusion and CAD in general.

It does depend on how you've built the model in TinkerCAD as it only allows models built from basic shapes.

Oh, that's rather unfortunate. I had to rely on other shapes besides the basic shapes already provided by Tinkercad. Well, thank you anyways!
