body doesn't go into the printing box

I try to print only the wheel part. when set up, if select the body only, yes it goes in the box.

But after select the printer machine, it doesn't go in any more, no matter either press ok or auto-orientaion.

It won't go in any more

Ok, I figure it out, I need to change/create it as a component first.
But why? why can't do it direct to the body.
