I made some components, placed them inside another component. Then I made a rectangular pattern. I went back in the timeline to change the appearance, but it does not propagate. In fact, as soon as replay the step where the component is placed inside another component, the new appearance disappears.

I also tried going back to the step right before the rectangular pattern and changing the appearance there, but when I playback the rectangular pattern step, the appearance does not propagate to the new objects.

It would be very impractical to go an change the appearance of every object, since there are hundreds of them and they all have hierarchies that would need to be opened to be selected.

What can I do to change the appearance of these objects? If I could just change the appearance of the "parent" object and have it propagate, it would solve the problem.

Thank you very much. That works perfectly.

I would have thought that changing the appearance of a component earlier on the timeline would work the same as any other operation, just out of consistency with the parametric paradigm.
