topic HELP my measuring is off from the original part in Fusion Support Forum

So I am designing a bracket type part that is made out of 7 gauge sheet metal and it has four bends with holes in the center base. The holes in the center are off and the bends are off, making the part larger than the original part I need to design and when designing in Fusion I am just not sure where to measure from, the inside of the part so I am subtracting the sheet metal off or the whole length of the part? When I designed the 4 bends in the part, I made each bend a flange so it is confusing on how to measure this part so I can design it exactly into fusion 360. Thanks!

I created a simple solid open top box and then replicated it in 16 GA sheet metal to show you how the Flange command controls can give you the exact sizes in the final product. I attached the model just in case you would like to follow along.

You have posted a few times on the Forum and users have asked you to attach your model for more help. You seem to hesitate to do this and your questions go unanswered. If you attach your model, you can be sure someone will probably be able to help you quickly. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.
