Hi, I'm new to posting on forums, usually I find the answers that I need online, however I have come across a problem.

When I create a join between components I can create an offset, this really helps with parametric designs.

Unfortunately if I want to go back on the timeline and edit an existing joint it does not give me the chance to create any offsets. I think the image below shows the issue.

I made the joint with no offset but want to change this without disrupting the rest of the model if possible.

Does anyone know if there is a reason for preventing this. When I deselect the components and try to re-select them 1 of the components originally in the joint is greyed out and can't be selected.

The file can be found here if needed: StepLadderV1-v14.f3d or attached with this post

I went through a big learning curve on this project just because I wanted to use parametric design and to utilise the BOM type features to create part drawings automatically.

Thanks,

Steve

As Built Joints, don't allow offsets, you need to replace it with a normal Joint, for that functionality.

Might help...
