Firstly, a big thank you to jhackney1972 for responding to offer help, then an apology for not replying sooner myself.

As it happens I've worked around this hitch but whether it's the right way or not the jury's out. In the model I was deriving my drawings from I had the threads modelled, using the Model Thread checkbox option when creating the threads. I experimented a little and found that by going back to each component model and unchecking Model Thread in every case, the models displayed correctly in the section view on the drawing.

A bit laborious and fortunately it's a very simple model. I'll bet there's a better way!

Once again apologies for not updating my post sooner.

I'm drawing an assembly with two views, child view is sectioned. I have unchecked the section participation in Objects To Cut. This has successfully prevented the bought out parts and a shaft from being cut but the hatching from everything else has also disappeared. If I double click in area that should be hatched, the Hatch Edit menu doesn't appear. Is there a fix for this please?

Please Attach your MODEL, not the 2D drawing. Also take a screen capture of your drawing showing what you are seeing as the problem. Be sure and indicate where to look. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.
