Hello,

I am running Fusion 360 in a classroom setting and have 16 PC's that students use. Each student logs into the PC with their school credentials and then opens up Fusion using their student educational account.

IT installed Fusion with Fusion 360 Client Downloader.

We are having issues because Fusion will not auto update.

How do I set up Fusion to auto update?

YES I have read through all the information how to set up in a computer lab.

What is the easiest best version to intall on a set 16 laptops that will be signed in by different users?

How can I set up fusion to auto update from one, admin computer account? Is this possible.

I have been trying to get this figured out for so long and this is the final attempt before moving to Onshape.

PLEASE HELP.

Hi @Anonymous

I see you're working with a few other folks in this thread, have you been able to get it working? I think you're on the right track where IT needs to set up the script that will check for updates. Once that is done, the script should prompt a check and then automatically install the new version if there is one.

Cheers,

@Anonymous

For a multi-user installation, I think you're going to need to use the admin install. Looking at the other thread, I think the 'client downloader' is really just the regular installer that a standard user would use. @TheCADWhisperer is really using it as an updater - if you have Fusion already installed and run the installer, it will update the existing client build to the newest version.

In your case, I think you'll need to use the admin install that is referenced in the page you linked above.
