Why some transparent, others not?

It's been a while since I've used Fusion, a little rusty. I try to figure things out first, then the forum. I can't understand why one of these files shows the design transparent while the other one is not. Any help will be appreciated.

When I open up both, they look the same visibly. I can guess it is you Display Setting, Visual Style. Check out the screen capture below.

Hmm. Thank you for the response. I tried the various display settings at the bottom of the screen. None of them change the transparency. And I haven't been into my main preference settings in months. I'll keep digging.

You were right. It was in the display settings. Some of them I didn't test before because I knew I had never used them. The solution was to uncheck all Object Visibility options. Something I've been doing activates them. Now I know what to do about it. Thanks again.

Take a screen capture of the issue. Models sometimes do not transfer between two installations of Fusion 360 the same way. A picture of what you are seeing will maybe help diagnose the problem.

I was holding off on sending an "accepted" note after your suggestion for
screen shots. Something's still not right. I'm sure as always that it's me,
but I really need to nail it down. It may take a few days before I get the
screen shots up and issues discussed. Sometimes, the hardest part for me is
adequately explaining my problem.

Here's a simple tray that I drew. As you can see in the screenshot, it's
transparent. I've done nothing different (that I'm aware of) from what I
usually do and I usually get an opaque image. I can make a change at the
bottom of the screen and make it opaque, but it will reverse my preference.
Any help much appreciated.

Additional info: As it currently stands, I'm having to toggle back and forth from Object Visibility (all checked or none checked) to see things I need to see at certain times.

I opened your model and it look to me just like your screen capture. What might be confusing you are two things. You have a sketch visible, it will always show through your model. Second, you have two separate bodies in your model. In the Screencast I combine them into one and you can see the edges disappear. I attached your model with the sketch off and the two bodies combined into one. Is this better.

Thank you, John! You nailed it. Only a few months ago I wouldn't have been sucked into those rookie oversights. One gets rusty quickly. I don't see anywhere on this form how to accept your solution. I'll dig around until I find it.
