I'm trying to set up my Sheet Metal Rules and for some reason I can't control the unit of measure between metric and imperial. When creating new Sheet Metal rules it's defaulting to Metric even though my document settings are in Imperial. Attached is a screenshot of what I am referring to.

Did you select New Rule from an existing inch Rule? For me the new rule is in the same units as the Rule I select, document units make no difference. If you have created from an existing inch Rule, try closing and restarting Fusion.

@TheCADWhisperer It seems like document units make no difference, just which units an existing rule has if you right click and select New Rule. Think if you deleted all but one Rule you'd be stuck with only being able to create Rules with the same unit as that one Rule?

@kellyhGKZ7R If you have deleted all the default inch Rules and only have mm ones in your library you'll need to copy one from an existing document. I've attached a file if you need one.

Thank you everyone. I'm forcing myself to learn Fusion 360 because I own it and I can't afford the Inventor Pro that I have spent the last 20 years using. (Started my own Company).

This is what I have discovered. By default the template file comes with a slew of different base sheet metal rules. They very in material but most importantly for this issue, they come in different units. In my effort to setup my template file with the materials that I use in my company I deleted all but two. One allowed me to use Imperial and the other defaulted to Metric no matter what I tried. I quickly realized that you can only create new sheet metal rules in the same units as the one you start from. So at the very least you need to keep a Metric version and then create your Imperial versions based off the original Imperial sheet metal rule from the template. Once I figured this out I was able to create sheet metal rules in all the steel plate and sheet sizes that my company uses. I will leave a screen shot. Hope this helps.
