I appreciate all your help that corrected the issue I was having. By changing the tool length it allowed the simulation to run correctly. I know now to check the length of the tool. As I said I am a beginner and still have a lot to learn,

I am new to trying the cam simulation and learning to try and use with a XCarve for some woodworking projects. After I have created the tool paths and I run the simulation no matter what speed I slow the slider to, it goes from start to finish instantly. On all the tutorials I have watched so far on creating the paths they all show a nice slow transition for the tool carving out the design. I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly. any Help would be appreciated.

Please attach the model with the Manufacturing Simulation, the Forum users will take a look and see if we can slow it down for you. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

As I mentioned in the Screencast, this is a Model, not a Drawing. Drawings are 2D where models are 3D. I am wondering if the tool being too short and causing interference between the work and the holder is messing up the simulation. In the attached model, I changed the tool length, same diameter, and had no issue adjusting the Simulation speed.

I just wanted to jump in here and ask a question; @nathan.epps315 when you went into Simulation, what button did you press to start the Simulation? With your file, I was not able to reproduce the issue you raised in your original post (that of it skipping to the end), but I certainly did see all the collisions that @jhackney1972 saw.

I'm only mentioning this because I thought I needed to open a ticket, since it shouldn't be skipping to the end, regardless of tool length. Furthermore, I'd also like to make sure other users aren't led to believe that tool length has some impact on simulation speed (not that they shouldn't care if their tool is defined properly, they should)

I press the play button. and was trying to slow the speed with the slider. I was unable to do so until I changed the tool length as suggested in the above. Once I did that, the slider then worked fine.
