Thank you so much!

Yes, I need to improve on all sides. This is my first time using any 3d modeling software, with a very limited experience in Photoshop and Illustrator. I can't even start on how grateful I am for these tips!

"If you replace the clear glass material you currently have applied to your glass bottle with a fresh one from the material library it should work."

I will give this a try now and see if I get this working.

While, would you have any suggestions on tutorials on sketching etc?

Hi,

I am very new to 3d-modelling and Fusion360.

I was able to create bottle, label and shrink capsule on it. But I'm struggling heavily trying to render it. When I try to render the liquid remains invisible. But if I use in-canvas rendering while having the "physical material" option open, it looks very different. Yet I'm very much unable to change the materials and appearances.

What I have done:

I have tried with the liquid overlapping with the glass. And the latest was with a gap between the glass and the liquid, but nothing seems to help me.

I am well aware this is very likely due to my lack of knowledge and experience with the program, but after having asked around, I have resulted seeking help from here.

I'd like to share the file, if there is anyone who could have a look at it and tell me what I am doing wrong.

The liquid needs to overlap the glass.

Then the glass needs to get a higher dielectric priority than the liquid as described here.

You are using way too many spline fit points to create the shape. Use fewer points and work with the tangent handles. I also applied continuity (G2) constraints between the spline ends and the lines.

I changed the color of the liquid and lowered the absorption distance.

For an HDRI background I used one from PolyHaven:

Model with these changes is attached.

Thank you for your answer.

Sorry about not been able to respond during the Holidays.

I fixed my file according to your instructions. Funnily, now my issue is the opposite. The glass body of the bottle doesn't show up while rendering. It is visible while I'm in the Render workmode, but once I have finished rendering, the glass bottle has disappeared.

What I did:

- I remodeled the liquid to overlap with the bottle

- Removed excess anchor points from the bottle body

- I tried with different priority control settings. Doesn't seem to make any difference if I have the liquid lower or higher than the body.

If you replace the clear glass material you currently have applied to your glass bottle with a fresh one from the material library it should work.

I would like to point out, however that your sketching needs to improve!

The spline can be done with three spline points. You also need to apply at least tangency constraints (red circles) to get a smooth transition between surfaces.

This is a bit odd.

If I keep the "physical material" option window open and use in-canvas rendering, it does work.

But if I close the physical material option window and try to render it, or use in-canvas rendering without the physical material option window open, it doesn't render the glass.

What could cause this?
