Actually, I probably swallowed the humble pie prematurely. It seems there's some kind of a problem when mixing imperial with metric. I know it's a sloppy way of designing anyhow, but I don't see why it would cause a problem. A hole drawin 5/16" prints a perfect fit for a 1/4"-20 bolt. To add a bit of wiggle room, I changed the sketch to 5/16" + 1/32". Fusion doesn't seem to be able to deal with that and crunches the sum to something way different. I can certainly work around it.

Everything's been working just fine. Any problems with F360 have always been due to my lack of knowledge. Period. And I've enjoyed the hell out of it. But this morning, all of a sudden, I'm doing a hole test wherein I make a small square, put a hole in it, 3d print it to see if the printer comes close enough to the drawing to be usable. I do this all the time when designing things. This morning, I'm drawing a 0.344mm hole with a 0.6mm x 0.6mm square enclosing it. Then I extrude 4mm. The result is a tower! I've tried shutting down the program and shutting down my PC. The problem persists. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what the problem is. The results look exactly correct. A 4 mm high extrude is 11.6 times the diameter of your hole. Everything looks fine to me:

I went ahead and sent the file to CURA, my 3D slicer app to see if it might print it correctly despite the look of it in Fusion. It doesn't even show up in CURA, doesn't even recognize it as a file.

I also tried sending an existing file to CURA. They work just fine.

I found the 'problem'. Operator error as usual. Face is red. The hole was supposed to be 3.44mm, not .344. Duh! Sorry.

@William_Dec_45 If your design is set to mm and you want to enter a inch fraction size you have a couple of options.

1. Like this ( ( 5 / 16 ) + ( 1 / 32 ) ) * 1 in

2. Like this 5" / 16 + 1" / 32

This is what you'll see in the parameter manager.

Thank you Mark. Seems like a strange way to parse things. In your first line, the 5/16 and 1/32 aren't even labeled as inches. Were you in the inch document setting? I do see that the multiplier is labeled as 'in'. In the second line, I've never seen anything like that! But, if that's the way it is, that's the way it is. I just need to keep clean and use one or the other (mm or in).
