Yes i try to use the adjacent surfaces for tangency.

i tried swapping the profiles for rails like you suggested, however initially is failed as the rails werent smooth (enough).

i went back into my sketches and reduced the number of fit point spline points, and had success after that when trying this loft again

Hi guys.

Im trying to loft a combination of surfaces and then stitch together to create a body.

This is a Junction between a fuselage and wing on a sailplane.

In the attached Pics, you can see the two stages where it goes ok, and then i get pipped at the finish line , where i add a second rail to guide the loft, but it goes a bit saggy.... in a weird way

can anyone help me through this? so close to having a result, but this is odd, i havent had this before.

Should not do that. Are you selecting Sketch curves, body edges, or a combination of both?

Will need the file.

I would expect a top and bottom loft to work, but you have a few more sections than that.

All those face edges would be from too many spline points in the sketches.

Might help....

In this case used surface edges to create the lofts.

I try not to mix sketches, faces, bodies as selections to create the lofts

Your comment about the face edges is true, however, i usually sketch the airfoil shape off DXF file i import,

but i find the fit point spline needs many points to fit the original airfoil shape, hence why so many points.

I acknowledge this is the fundamentals of some of my loft problems.

Try reversing the selections, short edges as profile, and long edges as Rail.

Are you using helper surfaces for tangency?

Might help....
