Many times I have been told I am clicking the "Quick reply" button.

I shall refute that saying that the option just below the field is really not helping me with posting replies.

(See picture)

Now granted REPLY (green) is what I should be pressing.

There is this QUICK REPLY button (Orange) which ..... is confusing. What is a QUICK REPLY?

Then there is this non-specified field POST REPLY (red)

I'm using that to reply. It CLEARLY SAYS "POST REPLY". It isn't/doesn't. It seems to post this QUICK REPLY and to that end I am posting to myself - if it is my thread.

Yes, I am (probably) the only one who is falling for this. I can't say if that is good or bad.

But the clear lack of CLEAR indications of what which button does isn't helping me.

Where should I discuss this?

There isn't a real option for feedback on this issue.

I've tried the "Feedback" but am not privileged enough to use that.

No problem.

Thanks.

This may rub some users the wrong way, but I only use the Quick Reply function, it's just too darn (apparently, dam is censored) easy. If I need to tag the poster above this reply, I'll do an "@" such as @mark33.in.oz so everyone can see where the reply is directed.
