I usually select multiple objects by holding Ctrl, but if you want windows selection you can disable Component Drag:

Hello!

I am trying do do a window selection (left mouse button press, drag to lower right & release) of some faces on a body but this only works when I start at a point that is not over the body when I start the selection. If I am zoomed in and the start of the selection would be over the part (e.g. I want to select all visible faces of a cavity in a body), then the body is moved instead of the selection window being opened/widened. Is there a way to prevent this and get a window selection independently from where I start it?

Best regards,

Reiner
