Sheet metal bend line extending across entire object

Hello,

I have been trying to form a bend on a sheet metal object across a short 9mm line, however it appears that Fusion 360 is bending the entire side of the object when I select this 9mm line. I attached a photo to show this. I just want the object to only bend across the 9mm line and tear on the sides of the bend. How can I do this? I can't find any solution. Overriding relief rules does not do anything (since there is no relief).

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Hi,

If you want to bend both tabs independently, they must also both have an individual line. But that is not the case with the second one. That is why I have added a line to the sketch.

The bending radii can also be changed.

Hi,

Thanks for that help. I just want to bend on the inner line as highlighted in the screenshot attached, but it bends across the entire model when that short line is selected.

It should bend like either of these:

Is it possible to achieve what I am trying to do with a flange instead perhaps?

Draw in the relief at either side of the intended bend and it works fine. You could also use the sheet metal flange tool rather than extruding then you won't have to do the conversion step.

This is to be expected because the line is inside the sheet metal, which can be seen from the dark blue coloured area.
If you only want to bend the tab, only this tab should appear in dark blue. The bending line must be at the border between the plate and the base plate.
