sheet metal in fusion does not work. can't even create sketch.

I am working with fusion 360 startup. I was trying to make a sheet metal part. I created component, the clicked on sketch. It won't let me create a sketch. Any suggestions.

Cannot tell what you are doing without a Screencast or other video information. After selecting the sketch command, you must select a face, or plane to create the sketch and make the sketch commands active,

I do select plane. once i do that, i click once on the center it
highlights but that is all it will do.

did you select a sketch tool CREATE : line, rectangle, circle … ?

In the attached Screencast, I create a sketch. I start from the Sheet Metal tab but creating a sketch in any environment will be the same. I selected an Origin plane to begin my sketch but the face of an body or component could be used.
