Exported DXF does not match sketch

Running into an issue when exporting a sketch to a DXF where the resulting DXF does not match the original sketch. The sketch was originally created by projecting the geometry of a body that was also created in fusion 360. I'm saving the DXF by right clicking the sketch and selecting the "Save As DXF" option.

I've attached the relevant files to this post. The attached fusion file only contains the relevant sketch, but I have tried the same process in the original file and the result is the same.

Any help finding a workaround or fix to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Can not reproduce that here with Autocad 2018.

Imports to Fusion without error too.

1. I was able to display the DXF in 2 applications without errors.
2. Which application is your screenshot from?

Thanks for the quick response.

If I open the files using eDrawings (Solidworks) or an online DXF viewer like the shareCAD one I see the incorrect geometry that I originally posted an image of, but if I open the files using fusion 360 or the online Autodesk viewer I see the correct geometry.

Is this behavior expected or should the DXF files appear the same across all applications?

I'd guess the program you're open this in and seeing the error can not handle polycurves, no options in Fusion to change this. There are no splines in the DXF, just lines and arcs. One thing I notice is all curves are duplicated, you might want to project a face or edges rather than a body. You will need to use another program to explode the poly curves, there are a few free program you could use.

Here's a list of what makes up the outer polycurve.

And in Fusion if I click and hold on any curve it shows there are 2 curves, same in the DXF.

I've attached a copy of your DXF with the duplicates removed and polycurves exploded, see if that's any better.

File still doesn't open properly in eDrawings, but they do open properly in everything else including Solidworks. I just need to have the file open properly in Autocad so I'm happy to mark this issue as resolved. I appreciate the extra tip about the duplicated curves and the polycurve explanation.
