Hi!

This behaviour has been consistent since I started using F360 in late December 2021 on my Mac: When I task switch between applications and return to F360, the browser tree is gone. I figured out that I can get it back by switching to an app on the same screen/desktop and then switching back to F360 (using cmd+Tab). This screencast shows what I mean:

https://autode.sk/3FrGCVY

Is this the desired behavior?

Best regards,
Andrew

No, there is no benefit to this behavior and it is not the result of intentional programming choices by the development team.

This has been discussed widely on the forum for a few months.

The only update I can give you is that if we could fix it, we would have by now. We are still looking for a way to work with the macOS architecture that produces this result. The only workaround is to open Fusion and run it on the main display without task switching, or in other words, avoid the activities that you know produce the effect in order to avoid it. Thanks for your patience while we sort this out.

Ok, thanks. I did search for disappearing browser but none of the suggested topics popped out at me. Sorry for posting something well-known...

Same problem here. It seems that if you switch to a task via Cmd-Tab that takes you to a different desktop (I have four desktops on my Mac), then the browser is gone. As the OP says, if you switch to a task on the SAME desktop as F360, then switch back to F360, the browser comes back.

I have the same issue on a MacBook with only one display. I don't need to use the keyboard shortcut to make it happen it happens when selecting a running app from the dock. For example, if I switch to chrome to look at something and then switch back to fusion my browser and open pallets are gone, I have to change to another mode ie Manufacturing in order to get them back.

Yes, it doesn't matter *how* you do it, but switching apps away from F360 and then back produces the behaviour. As discussed, it only occurs (for me, and afaik for others posting here) when the other app is on a different desktop (but same screen) or if the other app is in fullscreen mode.

I think I wrote this somewhere already, but my workaround is a little AppleScript that switches between the an app on the same desktop as F360 and back to F360 at the press of a hotkey (for me, this is the Finder). This happens very fast and is is thus minimally annoying to me.

If I need to reference a drawing or photos while designing, I'll put the app that contains the reference on the same desktop as F360.

Best regards,
Andrew
