Can't Find a Way to Create an Offset Sketch of a Rectangle

I have forgotten most of what I learned about F360 over a year ago. But I think I recall making offset sketches of rectangles. And I am finding videos of how to make offset sketches of rectangles, but none of the shown techniques work for me because my menus do not contain the "offset sketch" option. But let me start with the most basic of basics. To create an offset sketch of a rectangle, do I do the offset sketch while still in sketch - i.e. before I click on "finish sketch"? And if I forget and finish a sketch, does editing the sketch give me all of the same options as never having finished it? (I have noticed the offset for curves capability but it sounds like it is intended only for curves and when I have tried it anyway I have gotten no where.)

yes, and yes. Depending on how long ago you were last in Fusion, the UI might have changed. Now, the sketch UI only appears if you are in sketch mode (actively editing a sketch):

Thanks very much Jeff. I recall getting a lot of help from you the first time I learned (a bit about) F360. You screen shot looks like I should use the icon which looks like it applies to curves and is described as applying to curves. I tried it and it does work but only lets me select a line not a rectangle. What I recall and want to do is this ...

The image is from this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UzgOqlOPTo&t=39s / at 1:43) which claims to have been created in 2022 but I have no idea what level of F360 was being used. This seems to be more than a UI change. It seems to me that a useful capability has been either removed or make much more difficult to find.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Did you create the rectangle using the Rectangle tool or did you use the Line tool line-by-line?

@bobus17821 - the basics are still the same, but that video was recorded in 2019:

the screencast below illustrates the UI today - same basic idea, just a different toolbar. The only situation where you won't get the whole rectangle is if "Chain selection" is unchecked, which is illustrated in the screencast

Thanks very much CADWhisperer for taking an interest in this. I was just about to provide the documentation you asked for when I saw jeff.strater's answer which sure seems to settle the issue. But, if it might still be of interest to you, my rectangle was created using a Rectangle tool. Thanks again for your interest. Bob

Thank you very much Jeff! There should be a federal law that instructional videos about computer programs have to prominently display and clearly state the release of the product they pertain to! In fact lets have the law apply also to "help" info posted on the Internet.

Fusion told me that it had updated itself. But I do not recall it giving me any clue as to what had changed as a result of the update.

The grease that keeps a great deal of technology workable and usable is provided by individuals such as yourself and CADWhisperer and so many others who so graciously contribute their extensive knowledge.
