Thanks Gunther, I didn't notice that was an option!

Admittedly this doesn't address the DWG problem, but I'm going to be selfish, let someone else worry about that, and stick with DXF if the fabricator is happy!

Hi, I have issues when exporting drawings.

Fabricators doing sheet metal for me want DWG or DXF.

When I export as DWG in either of the available "Autodesk" or "simplified" sub-formats it cannot be read.

When I export as DXF, the dimensions are all wrong. If I place a part on the drawing in Fusion at say 1:2 scale, add a dimension and it's 400mm, that dimension label will show as 200mm in the DXF.

I attached DXF, DWG (Autodesk), plus PDF versions (which are fine), and a STEP of the object.

EDIT: I tried another viewer and the DXF is ok so I don't think that's Fusion's fault, but what about DWGs? Even eDrawings viewer can't open it.

Hi @wesley.freeman

If you want a DXF that is 1:1, you need to place the views on the drawing sheet that is 1:1.

The best workflow generally, is to use the largest paper size, then place the views at 1:1, you can delete the drawing border, don't worry if the views exceed the sheet, because the sheet itself is not exported to DXF.

Hope that this helps.

Thanks for this tip, I had no idea you could do that. However I think Gunther's suggestion is more straightforward and I'll go with that, unless the fabricator has problems with it.
