Arbor Press Animation Problems

For a school project I am creating an arbor press. I have already created it and when in I'm in the design area the joints work perfectly when I move the handle the gear moves causing the rack to move up and down. The problem is I have to film a video in animation of it working but whenever I try to make the arbor press function in animation the parts never move. I was wondering if anyone here could help me figure out why the parts will not move while I'm in animation.

Please attach your model so the Forum users can take a look and help you out. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

When you say "animation", I assume you are referring to the Animation workspace, is that correct?

If so, then, yes, today, the Animation Workspace does not use Joints in its animation. It is more for showing exploded views for assembly instructions, etc.

You should look into "Motion Study" if you want to animate Joint motion:

Thank you, however I am playing around with motion study and I know understand how it works and how to animate the joints but how do I enable it so that motion from the motion study appears while I'm recording in animation. I hope this makes sense.

No, you have only 100 steps but you can change the drive amount to get different amounts of motion. You also have the different Modes at the bottom that can Repeat, Go Forward and Backwards and Go Forward. Your only issue will be speed.
