Hi Rafal,

Thanks for getting in touch. I am indeed using integrated graphics (Intel UHD 620).

I've checked the system requirements page that you have linked however my current system specs are within the spec listed on that page. This wasn't an issue a couple of months ago and nothing on the computer has changed since then other than Fusion updating and of course updating the graphics driver to try and solve the issue.

Thanks again,

Sam

Hi,

I'm getting an error banner in F360 saying, "This computer's graphics driver or hardware may be limiting performance."

Here's a graphics diagnostics dump:

[GPU Information]
GPU Device: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
GPU RAM: 128 MB (Integrated card)
GPU Driver API: DirectX 11.0
GPU Driver Version: 30.0.101.1994
GPU Driver Date: 25/05/2022

[Graphics Effects Settings]
Anti Aliasing: Off
Ambient Occlusion: Off
Object Shadow: Off
Ground Shadow: Off
Ground Reflection: Off
Selection Display Style: Simple
Transparency Effect: Better Performance

[Limit effects to optimize performance]
On

Everything's been updated and the computer I'm using is still within the Fusion 360 system requirements however recently the software has been running slower and I'm not sure why as there has been nothing in the release notes suggesting that graphics requirements.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi @best1yet, thanks for posting.

It looks like Fusion 360 is using an integrated graphics card rather than a dedicated one. If your computer has a dedicated graphics card, check this article to force Fusion 360 to use it: How to configure Autodesk software to use high performance graphics.

If you do not have a dedicated card, I would recommend upgrading your hardware. Please check the System Requirements for Fusion 360 for more info.

You can also check some settings described in this article: Slow performance when working in any workspace in Fusion 360. Maybe it will improve the program's performance.

System requirements change from time to time as the program evolves. Not every update will change the requirements, but still, I think it's a good idea to check them on a regular basis.

Hi Rafal,

Thank you again. We have a suite of these PCs that a few months ago ran fine, you're not aware of any change to Fusion that could have degraded our performance?

Thanks,

Sam

I think when stating that "the software runs slower" you need to be a lot more specific.

Is it viewport navigation performance?

Is it modeling performance?

Is selecting objects in the viewport that is slower?

Performance in CAD can be attributed to more than graphics.

Thanks all for getting back regarding this.

To add a little context, I'm IT support for our School's DT Dept. The DT teacher is reporting that the Fusion 360 loads but as soon as you start modelling or try to open a file, it crashes.

Before fusion updated a few months ago this wasn't an issue and I am wondering if the system requirements of Fusion have changed and of our computers (all in one HPs) are no longer up to spec for the job.

Appreciate any feedback,

Sam
