Change Default Render Camera

I prefer to render designs with the orthographic camera instead of perspective. The camera used to remain orthographic for all new designs, but now, whenever I start a new design or leave the render workflow, the camera reverts to perspective mode. It is very annoying to have to switch the camera every single time we want to do a rendering. Is there a way to set the default camera to ortho? I would suspect it should be in the below screen, but it isn't there. Any help here? Thanks!

No there is no way to do this by default, though i would agree this is a good idea to have as an option - even if i rarely render in ortho.

Actually, i think there is a related defect as the Scene settings allows you to change to ORTHO but it doesn't save. So that theoretically should work AND we should have a drop down in settings in my opinion.
