Turning a Square Object into a Sphere

I'm trying to cut/remove the square objects - The idea is to have a perfect sphere with multiple bodies.

My design started of as a square consisting of 10 seperate bodies.

The bodies which are already rounded off I simply extrude/cut without any issues, however i'm unable to do so with the remaining square sections.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Revolve - Intersect.

Edit: After taking a deeper look - I would have modeled this very differently. In my opinion you are doing too much work. But anyhow - attached is the Revolve.
