topic Opacity Bug? in Fusion Support Forum

Attached is my project file and I want to see if others have the same issues as me.

First issue to re-create is, even when the project "La Viper 7.0" project is selected, most of the components are still transparent as if an individual component is selected. See here:

I think this may be a display bug? In the situation above it is acting like both the shroud and the top plate are the active components. The expected behavior is the all components are opaque because the overall file is selected. This phenomenon occurred later into the design, not at the beginning.

UPDATE: I found another issue related to this. I can no longer add a new component to the project no mater what I right click on. the "add new component" option simply isn't in the dropdown menu anymore. The shroud part is a sheet metal part and when I was working on that part, that is when the display transparency started to do wonky things, only within the part, but then the wonkiness expanded to the the rest of the project. The more I try to mess around with the sheet metal part, the worse things get (like not being able to create a new component anymore)

The second issue is with joints. To recreate this, make any change to the "Bottom Plate" component. It doesn't matter what the change is. When done, as the model rolls back forward in history, the bracket joints get errors. Normally I would go back and redefine the joints, but even after doing this, it remains red and fails to compute. I suspect this happened because at some point in my design process I had to go back in time and delete half of the "Lateral Brace" parts to create a different version called "Medial Brace" and usually F3D does weird stuff if you don't do everything perfectly the first time and have to go back and make changes like this (at least for complex models like this).

Part of the opacity issue is that you have a transparent polycarbonate material assigned to most of the part, which makes it difficult to determine what is actually an opacity issue and what is not.

For example the corner bumpers have an opacity set at the body level and not at the component level. If you re-set the opacity of the bodies in the components ack to 100% things should behave normally when activated.

Also, your assembly structure is very inefficient, requiring many more joints than actually necessary.
